There is an agenda behind the Black Lives Matter protests which is not to fight racism, but “to push new myths and new hatreds,” according to Sky News host Andrew Bolt.
Mr Bolt said the agenda of these protests is to now target “the police and the society they protest”.
In America, there have been widespread calls for the defunding of the Minneapolis Police Department following the death of unarmed African-American man George Floyd while in police custody.
Mr Bolt said here too in Australia, there have been calls for the police to be scrapped.
He said the police have had to “cop it” because “the prime minister and the premiers and the police chiefs are too scared” to cite data about Indigenous deaths in custody.
The “race madness” has got to stop but “what gets me is the cowardice of our leaders,” Mr Bolt said.
There is a ’hidden agenda’ behind Black Lives Matter protests
Sky News contributor Cory Bernardi says the legislators around the world have gone missing by not “defending the role of police and the rightful authority they have in maintaining law and order”.
The New York Police Benevolent Association President Mike O’Meara who stood in front of fellow NYPD members his police force “roundly reject what (the Minneapolis police officer) did as disgusting,” but said from the original crime against George Floyd, “our legislators abandoned us, the press is vilifying us”.
Mr Bernardi told Sky News host Peta Credlin the “genesis” of the anti-police movement was “fueled, aided, and abetted by Barack Obama”.
He also claimed President Obama “misrepresented a whole range of things” which happened in America to create, within the nation, a “race baiting culture”.
he culture of political correctness is now “out of control” as protesters want to tear down some of our “obviously important national and significant statues,” according to Sky News host Peter Gleeson.
On Thursday, Prime Minister Scott Morrison firmly rejected calls to topple Captain Cook statues, arguing the Black Lives Matter movement has been hijacked by left-wing agendas.
After statues of Edward Colston and Robert Milligan were pulled down in the UK, British group Topple the Racists called for all Captain Cook statues to follow suit.
“People’s treatment in custody or things like that is fair issue, but now it’s been taken over by other much more politically driven left-wing agendas,” Mr Morrison said on 2GB.
“I’ve always said we have got to be honest about our history, we’ve got to acknowledge the positive and the negative,” the prime minister said.
”Why would we trash our history,” Mr Gleeson told Sky News host Peta Credlin.
”Our history is important to us”.
”I think we should just ignore it for what it is, and that is a terrible, terrible political stunt”.
